Switching plans and changing billing

Move between Practice and Business, change the billing contact email, hand over an organisation to or from a practice, or transfer between practices.

Switching between Practice and Business plans

You can switch in either direction. The change takes effect at the next billing cycle, with a pro-rata adjustment if there's a price difference. Data, journals, scheme settings, and audit log all carry across — only the billing model changes.

Adding a billing contact

By default, billing emails go to the firm owner. You can add a separate billing contact email (e.g., your finance team) from billing settings. Both addresses receive every invoice and dunning email.

Switching billing party — handover to a practice

A business already on OneSixth can hand over billing to its accountancy practice. This is a three-way confirmation: client, gaining practice, and (if applicable) outgoing practice all approve. No data moves; only the invoice recipient and plan family change.

Transferring between practices

If a client moves from one accountancy practice to another, the organisation can be transferred without disconnecting and reconnecting. Both practices and the client owner all approve. Audit history and scheme state stay intact.

Handovers and transfers never trigger a re-trial. Billing continues seamlessly from the date of completion.
