Plans and pricing — Practice, Business, and Charity

How OneSixth pricing works: graduated per-organisation tiers for practices, fixed monthly tiers for businesses by entity count, and a 25% charity discount that applies to either plan.

OneSixth has two plan families: Practice for accountancy firms and bookkeepers managing client books, and Business for organisations buying for themselves. Registered charities qualify for a 25% discount on either plan — Charity is a discount qualifier, not a separate plan.

Practice plan — graduated per-organisation pricing

Practices pay per client organisation under management, with the per-org price falling as the firm grows. The graduated model means each organisation is billed at the rate for its band: when you cross into a lower-priced tier, only the new orgs at that tier pay the lower rate, not the orgs already in the cheaper tier from before.

Your own books — the practice's own organisation, flagged is_practice_self — are always free and never count towards the tier.

Tier boundaries and exact per-org rates are listed live on /pricing. As you add or remove client orgs, the bill recomputes against the new tier on the next invoice.

Worked example. A practice managing 7 client orgs sits in the second tier (5–19 orgs). The total monthly bill is the per-org rate at that tier × 7 — see /pricing for current numbers.

Business plan — fixed monthly by entity count

Direct businesses, charities, and groups buying OneSixth for themselves pay a flat monthly fee based on the number of legal entities (organisations) being managed:

  • Single organisation — one entity, one set of books.
  • Group (2–5 entities) — suits charities with trading subsidiaries, small group VAT registrations, multi-entity SMEs.
  • Group (6–15 entities) — for larger group structures.

Same product as the Practice plan — every VAT scheme included, every accounting platform supported, full audit trail. The pricing model is the only thing that differs.

Unlimited users on every Business tier. There are no per-user charges on either plan family.

Charity discount — 25% off either plan

Registered charities and equivalents (Charity Commission for England and Wales, OSCR, CCNI, HMRC CASC) get 25% off whichever plan they're on, applied to the underlying tier price. The discount stacks with annual billing.

The discount is automatic once we've verified the registration number, and applies retroactively from the moment you provided the number — even if verification takes a few working days. See Charity discount for the full eligibility list.

Annual billing

Both plans can be paid monthly or annually. Annual billing carries a 15% discount. You can switch interval at any time from billing settings; switching triggers pro-rata adjustment on the current cycle.
